Fabrication & Installation
Procedures for Durable Installations

Stainless steel and titanium building components are not difficult to fabricate or install given proper tooling & procedures. Since high performance metals like these have elevated mechanical properties compared to metals more commonly used in construction, adequate machinery and tooling need to be used. These metals are generally quite form-able and offer the added benefit of being weld-able to permit more durable installations of these materials – which are by design already longer lasting and more sustainable than traditional building materials.

Suggested fabrication and installation procedures, that are unique to certain products of Contrarian Micro Textures, by Rigidized® Metals Corporation, are indicated in their respective data sheets. General information concerning the fabrication of stainless steel can be obtained at ssina.com. Further, a representative is available to provide assistance to the fabricator or installer whom has questions or concerns regarding the proper handling of these materials.

VIDEO: Soldering InvariMatte®

InvariMatte® is a non-directional, low gloss, uniformly textured stainless steel finish designed for use in architectural applications. While its lower reflectivity lends itself to roofing applications, it can be applied to wall panels, coping and trim. The superb consistency of this finish results in excellent panel-to-panel matching. Since InvariMatte® has no coatings to deteriorate, it will last indefinitely with little maintenance.
